Our Story

We knew for sure that the safest way to brighten and treat skin dark spots, acne scarring and uneven skin tone is through the use of a Topical Vitamin C treatment. So purchasing a Vitamin C treatment for removal of dark spots and acne scarring was a "No-Brainer".

Our frustration was that the available topical Vitamin C products in South Africa did not give us the results we were expecting (A minimum 74% reduction in dark spots and marks).

Some of the products that did work are too expensive and the cheaper products did not contain L-Ascorbic acid. L-Ascorbic acid is the only form of active Vitamin C that works directly on your skin. Other forms of vitamin c are not as effective as L-Ascorbic acid.

After a considerable amount of research we finally discovered the root cause for the disappointing results experienced with Vitamin C serums and treatments available in South Africa. Vitamin C in the highly effective form of L-Ascorbic acid is an extremely unstable substance and it degrades at a rapid rate. This means that most Vitamin C products that contain L-Ascorbic acid have already degraded to a non therapeutic concentration before they reach you. Some products have been found with up to 80% less potency than stated on their packaging.

A 15% Vitamin C therapeutic concentration is required to have a significant effect on decreasing dark skin marks, acne scars and uneven skin tones, but most of these products do not have this percentage when it reaches you and this is the root cause for the disappointing results experienced by so many.

To fix this major problem with most of the Vitamin C skin products available in South Africa, we manufactured a small batch of Vitamin C Serum for ourselves, friends and colleagues. We added in Ferulic acid and Vitamin E as they are known to boost the effect of vitamin C by up to eight times and prevent further degradation.

The effects of the serum with the highly active Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Ferulic Acid were seen within three days of starting the treatment. Within two weeks of treatment we noticed a decrease in colour and darkness of acne scars and dark spots. The success we experienced prompted us to start this business to share our product with others frustrated with their skin hyperpigmentation and the poor results they have been getting.
